[00:00:06] Speaker A: Access granted. Welcome to the Lounge.
[00:00:12] Speaker B: Have you ever been stuck thinking about the endless time loop of life?
Worrying about what happened in the past or thinking about tomorrow?
Have we all been there at some point?
This happens a lot. Whenever things go wrong or they just don't go our way, then it creates that question in our head that stays stuck in there, just wondering about, why didn't I do it different? And it is so crazy how easy it can be to forget about the present because of this matter.
Don't worry, though. I'll try my best to help you break that vicious circle and give you some clarity for your mind.
What's up, guys? Welcome. Or welcome back to the Lo Fi Lounge. I'm your host, and tonight I want to deepen into one of the many aspects of life, a topic to bring clarity and contentment to our lives.
So once you give me a few minutes of your time as we embark on this journey of self discovery, before we start, like always, I want to remind you that if you want to enjoy our music, you can feel free to skip through as I'll be playing the background music on his own at the end of the episode. Now, with that being said, let us continue.
Look, we all go through things we can't ignore in our lives.
Life is full of surprises, and we have to be able to learn how to deal with every situation we encounter as human beings. It's normal to go through changes.
It's okay to do so, too.
Sometimes we get so caught up thinking about the things that already happened, and we forget what's really important.
I mean, I know you may say, oh, it's so easy to say that you don't know what it is like, and I get you. But the truth is, I do.
I do know. You're not alone here. Many of us experience this on everyday basis, and that's why I'm breaking it to you like that. Why should we worry so much about the things that already happened or those things that have yet to happen instead of focusing on our present?
Look what happened. It's already done. And sadly, the time machine has not been created yet. So therefore, the only thing we can do is to learn how to accept it and move on.
But how, you may ask? Well, there's a lot of things you can do to help you get your mind something else to wonder about. Instead of worrying about what's done or what hasn't even happened yet.
Your present is what will shape your future. So if you want to think about tomorrow, hey, that's fine, but don't stress it. Like I said, focus on what you have in front of you right now.
Remember that the past is gone and the future has yet to come.
And I'm not saying you should forget about the past or future.
No. But instead, give your mind time to rest. A pause. You may say the past will forever live inside us, and it's always great to work and think about what you want to do in your future as well. But if that's going to mess up your well being by doing it, you want to consider giving it a break until you feel better about it, until you feel ready to start thinking about those things.
We all have our ups and downs in life. That's a normal cycle for all of us, right?
A good example of what I mean is something that happened to me a while ago.
Allow me to share this experience and hopefully you can have a better understanding of what I'm coming from.
So I'm the type of person that I love being prepared. That means I always think ahead.
There was a time in my life I was so focused on what I wanted for my future that I even forgot about living my present.
I was not thinking about nothing but getting to where I wanted to be. And you may say, man, but that's not a bad thing. And you're right, it isn't. But you know what happened? I got drained mentally. I was so stuck in the loop of thinking about moments that weren't even there yet that I started to feel stressed about it. Because I felt like the more time passes by, the less likely it is that the time will come.
It's stupid because we all know that patient is key. But you know what the problem is? If you don't learn how to balance out what you lived, what you're living, and what's yet to believed, you will end up in that vicious life cycle I mentioned at the beginning of the episode.
Now, long story short, I decided to take it easy on myself to worry a little less about where I wanted to be, but instead to what I'm actually at right now. I ended up finding out I was not in such bad spot and the rush was not even that necessary.
And once I understood that, man, what a relief.
Although my problem was overthinking about my future, yours might be just thinking too much about what happened in your past.
Maybe something really bad happened and you just can't let go of it. But trust me, you have to find a way out, because if you don't, the outcome will be horrible. Your mental health is on the line.
Learn how to let go of the time Loop of life and focus on what's in front of you.
Always be grateful for what you accomplished, for what you have, and you'll see how things start to shape off for better as time goes by.
Set goals and work on them one at a time. By doing this, your head will always be occupied on something other than stressing you out about necessary things.
I hope you get the picture of what I'm trying to illustrate here for you, that it is important to break free from the time loop and leave in the now.
That's all I have for you tonight guys. Thanks a lot for allowing me to share these words with you tonight and for being a part of the Lofi Lounge family.
